“Jamie works with her students on equal terms, never demeaning or judgmental. She encourages students to continually activate creative exploration in music, and has helped me experience music as more than just playing, notes, harmonies and rhythms. Jamie will help you do what YOU want to do with the guitar (and if you don’t know, she will help you figure it out). I highly recommend and respect her as a music teacher for any age.” -G. Simmons
“From our first meeting, Jamie listened closely to my musical goals, assessed the skills I needed to learn to get there, and tailored a perfect lesson to keep me challenged but not discouraged. She inspires me to practice technique and think about theory without ever making me feel intimidated or stupid. Jamie’s approach is infused with her disarming sense of humor which made me look forward to our lessons every week. She pays close attention to her students and often articulates simple but brilliant insights that will blow your mind. She’s inspiringly talented and just fun to hang out with. I would recommend Jamie as a teacher to anyone who wants a funny, engaging environment to learn guitar.” -M. Graham
